DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1 | Arrival in Windhoek

Morning

ARRIVAL at Windhoek Hosea Kutako international airport

– Pick up our rental car (it’s absolutely essential to have a 4X4 in Namibia because of the gravel roads).
– Purchase of Namibian SIM cards (MTC) within the airport.

Afternoon

Departure for Otjiwarongo as we found a lodge situated close to Waterberg Park and the Cheetah Conservation Fund. We were interested by the latest. On top of it, this place happens to be on the road to Etosha N.P.

DAY 2 | Visit CCF and Etosha N.P.

Morning

Visit at CCF (Cheetah Conservation Fund) We had to book our visit online beforehand. The visit is very informative and educational. Furthermore, the entrance ticket price supports the species’ conservation and goes directly to the organization.

Mid-morning: departure for Etosha National Park.

Afternoon

Early afternoon: we arrived at Namutoni Gate (Etosha N.P.). and 30 minutes after our arrival we jumped in the safari truck for our first safari in the park! luckily we were the only ones in the safari tour – which made it feel like a private one. Then the magic began!

DAY 3 | Etosha N.P.

Morning

During the early morning safari we discovered new parts of the park.

Afternoon

During the afternoon safari we discovered the fauna of Etosha National Park, in the East part of the reserve.

And… guess what? Still alone with our safari guide, that’s what I call pure luck, it made this experience even more memorable.

Those private tours enabled us to have a special bond with our guide and on top of that, we learnt so much about the local fauna and flora.
